This initiative stems from the revision of the federal funding guidelines for the culture of remembrance currently being prepared by the Federal Ministry of Culture and Media (BKM). The association is submitting expert opinions on this matter to the BKM and to members of the German Bundestag. The focus is on the demand that civil society organizations working in the field of remembrance culture be structurally incorporated into federal funding instruments—in particular smaller, non-institutionally funded organizations with an independent mission in the field of remembrance culture.
